As more surgical procedures are shifting to ambulatory setting, it important for the physical layout of the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) to accommodate increased volumes and case mixes. This continuing education session will discuss strategies for constructing a well-designed OR to enhance perioperative workflow to promote efficient flow of patients, staff, and supplies. Additionally, strategies for room design to utilize space effectively, enhance flexibility, and decrease turnover time.
